Shipping, Returns, And Cancellations

-For those wishing to ship to PO Boxes, USPS priority only will still be used. Route protection insurance is highly recommended as they cover issues quickly and fully. WE ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR USPS ISSUES AT ALL-EVEN A LACK OF A SCAN.

- RMJ products in larger packaging will ship USPS priority because of the costs, but can be switched to UPS for actually cost difference.

Shipping is free (UPS ground) on domestic orders over $250 (Hawaii and Alaska are not included and additional costs may apply). Some remote areas of Hawaii will require additional shipping charges that will be invoiced separately- this applies even to "free shipping charge" offers. 1-5 day  shipping with UPS ground is standard. Shipping may take up to 5-10 business days or longer* depending on Season or holidays. Shipping can be upgraded to UPS 3-day or is free on orders over $750. Tracking will be emailed to the address given at time of purchase. Orders over $350 will be Signature required (may be waved during COVID-19)...this amount may be lower during peak holiday times to ensure safe delivery. This is at my discretion and is just to help ensure you get your order safely.

We will not be held responsible for package theft. Signature required can be requested on any purchase.

We have no international shipping

Insurance- Basic insurance ($100) with UPS is included. Route protection optional insurance is recommended as it is superior to standard insurance and lost package claims are streamlined (shorter time frames) with them. Southern Edges makes no money on Route protection insurance, it is strictly provided as a benefit for our customers. All claims are handled according to UPS, USPS,or Route protections procedure processes. We are NOT responsible for theft. You have chosen the delivery location at check out, and every customer should have confidence delivery there is secure. Signature required delivery is free and can be requested on orders under $350 minimum- this should be done if you are at all concerned about delivery. Shipping can be delayed to help insure a correct delivery time or held for a period of time to help with this.


Please do not place an order unless you are sure you want it- we don't understand emails that come saying there has been a "change in economic circumstances" over the course of 30 minutes after an order. We work hard to turn orders around quickly to our customers so they get their orders fast. A return is considered any order cancellation once an order has been fulfilled and a shipping tracking number issued. If you place an order and cancel afterwards you will have a 3% fee if the order has been fulfilled and not shipped. We do not monitor emails real time and may fulfill an order before seeing an email. The fee will still be accessed unless we are able to cancel the order before we fill it.

There is a 17% restocking fee to return a knife unless there was a mistake on our part (not color shade or blade steel**) or there is a QUALIFYING warranty issue. A qualifying warranty return is defined as there being sufficient issue with a knife that the manufacturing company is willing to accept this knife as a no cost return within their specific warranty terms. Southern edges is not responsible for consumer subjective opinion on what should qualify as a return. In other words if the manufacturing company would not qualify an issue with their warranty- there will be a cost to return- restocking fees. Return shipping is not included in this fee. I check all knives before they are sent out. No exceptions to this. If the knife is marked or used in any way, it will not be accepted as a return. In addition, all packaging and all contents must be received back as they were sent. Damaged boxes, missing accessories will all cost additional fees in a return. A return or exchange must be initiated within 2 days of receipt of the knife - this is non negotiable. All sales on knives over $750 are final. So please ask questions before making a purchase at that level....feel free to ask questions on any knife.  We are a small business. There are fees and costs on every purchase whether returned or not for us as a business. All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless there is a mistake on our part.


An exchange must be initiated within 48 hours (2 days) from delivery. This is non negotiable. There is a flat $10 fee and your shipping costs both ways for an exchange. An exchange must be mailed back within two business days from receiving your return label. It will return via USPS. Insurance will add to that cost if opted for. The exchange item will not be pulled until item exchanged is received and inspected.
